Can Shoes Really Impact Your Senior Portraits?
Hey girls! So how fast did that month of February go by? But hey, I’m not complaining because now we’re just one month closer to warm weather! When Amber asked me to do this months blog on shoes, I was so excited because shoes are a subject very near and dear to my heart, and I can only assume that many of you agree! 😉 Shoes are always such an important aspect to our outfits, so why wouldn’t they be just as important to our senior shoots?!
Shoes are so fun, and you can change the style of an entire outfit with just one pair of shoes. For example, you can take a sundress, mini skirt, or maxi skirt and make it look either formal, or cute with a pair of wedges or pumps, or you could take the outfit a complete different direction by throwing on a pair of Keds, Converse, or Vans adding a more casual look. Depending on your style and what you want the mood of your shoot to be, you can shape the entire outfit with just a pair of shoes.
Shoes are also an awesome way to add a pop of color to an outfit in a subtle way, Amber mentioned that shoes with awesome vibrant colors photograph very well, and they’re also super cute! Even if it’s a pair of shoes that you wouldn’t normally wear, as I said in the last blog, for your senior shoot it’s okay to think out of the box, and to wear something that you wouldn’t normally wear! Also with spring coming up, of course sandals are a fun and very popular footwear choice.
When I say sandals I’m not just talking your basic flip flop, find a cute greek, strappy pair, with some awesome colors! Throw those bad boys on with a pair of high waisters, and an adorable top, and bam you have an outfit for your senior shoot! If you can’t decide between the wedges, or those adorable sandals, no worries! bring them both! Amber loves when models switch up their footwear in a shoot, and you can have the best of both worlds! Like I said before, don’t be afraid to think out of the box!
